Con coincidenza quasi millimetrica col giorno del 343° compleanno di Antonio Vivaldi, che ricorre il 4 marzo, la fantasia, l'estro e il rigore storico de L'Appassionata, una giovane formazione strumentale, concertata da Lorenzo Gugole e guidata dal flautista veneto Tommaso Benciolini, ci offrono uno squarcio inaspettato sugli ultimi mesi di vita del Compositore veneziano.
Non tutti sanno che, al termine della sua sfortunata vicenda umana, il Prete Rosso aveva progettato una raccolta dedicata ai concerti per flauto solista. Ce lo testimoniano l’epistolario recentemente riscoperto e un fascio di meravigliose partiture che Tommaso Benciolini riunisce in prima mondiale su CD Sony Classical, in uscita in concomitanza col compleanno del Veneziano. Tommaso Benciolini ci guida con rigore e passione nella Venezia del 1739 e ci offre un assaggio di questo suo ultimo lavoro discografico.
